The McGill Institute for the Study of Canada (MISC) at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec (QC), Canada will be holding several fascinating online events over the next month:
‘Rediscovering Louis St. Laurent: A discussion about the influence of a politician whose astute policies and bold resolve moved Canada into the modern era’, Thursday 28 January 2021 at 4-5pm (ET). The discussion will feature the Hon. Jean Charest, Patrice Dutil, Mary Janigan, Xavier Gelinas, and Jean Riley.

Call for Papers
The Canadian Studies and American Studies programs at Bridgewater State University invite submissions for their student research conference on the subject “United States, Canada, Quebec and the Problem of the Border” to be held live in virtual format on Friday 2 April 2021. Proposals from undergraduate university students in the United States and Canada on all subjects are welcome. Presentations can focus individually on the U.S., Canada, or Quebec; or they can be comparative. The revised deadline for proposals is 15 February 2021. Students should send a Word file containing name, title, abstract (up to 250-words), and university affiliation to Dr. Andrew Holman (a2holman@bridgew.edu) or Dr. Simone Poliandri (spoliandri@bridgew.edu)
