The Australian, Canadian, and New Zealand Studies Network (ACNZSN) is very excited to announce a special call for papers for the inaugural issue of its new journal: the Journal of Australian, Canadian, and Aotearoa New Zealand Studies (JACANZS)! It adopts a multi and interdisciplinary perspective. This includes history, politics, literature, law, and anthropology. JACANZS’ aim and scope is to publish articles in various disciplines on at least more than one country of focus of the journal, i.e. Australia and Canada or Canada and Aotearoa New Zealand etc. However, articles which focus on just one country will also be considered 🙂

Manuscripts of a maximum of 10,000 words in length (including footnotes and a short bibliography) should be submitted as a Word document, along with a separate short abstract of no more than 250 words, up to a maximum of five key words, author contact details, and institutional affiliation, if any, to Dr. Jatinder Mann (Editor-in-chief) at acanzsjournal@gmail.com

Deadline: 30 November 2020

Manuscripts should be formatted according to the Chicago reference style. Manuscripts should also be double spaced and use Arial font, size 12. All manuscripts should be anonymised and will undergo double blind peer review, after an initial vetting by the journal editor.

JACANZS will also have a book reviews section, which will edited by Emily Cornish. Books that look at more than one country of focus of the journal will be prioritised, but books that look at just one country are also welcome 🙂 Authors and publishers interested in having their books reviewed and anyone interested in writing a book review should contact the book reviews editor at acanzsjournal@gmail.com. JACANZS aims to publish its first issue by the end of November 2021 🙂
